Offline and installing

Every application in the Hollow suite installs as a Progressive Web App (PWA): its own full-screen window, its own persistent icon in your system dock or taskbar, separate from your browser.

Installing as an app

Open the application in your browser and use your browser's own install prompt to add it to your home screen or desktop. On Chrome and Edge, an install icon appears in the address bar the moment the app is available to install. On Safari, on iOS or macOS, use Share then Add to Home Screen. Once it is installed, the app opens in its own window, with no browser chrome around it.

Connectivity and offline working

A connectivity indicator in the topbar always shows your current connection state. Go offline and you can still read and edit anything that has already loaded. Changes made while offline queue locally and synchronise automatically once the connection returns, with no manual action required from you.

Some things do need a live connection: AI assistant responses, real-time collaboration presence, and sending or receiving messages. The interface always makes it clear when a feature is out of reach because of connectivity.
