HollowScript

Requires VS Code 1.91 or later. No Hollow account needed. Install the v0.1.1 CLI for the full language tools.

Getting started

A few steps to settle in.

Install in VS Code

Open the Marketplace link for your chosen extension and select Install. You can also search Extensions for soulstack.hollow-code or soulstack.hollowscript.

Connect Hollow Code

Open Hollow in the activity bar and sign in to your Hollow account. Chat needs an internet connection. Local file changes and commands require a trusted workspace and your approval.

Set up HollowScript

Open a .hws file to start. Highlighting and member completion work without the CLI. Install the HollowScript v0.1.1 CLI for language server features, including diagnostics, formatting and rename. Rename covers the declaration and open importing files.

Using VSCodium or another compatible editor?

Download the VSIX above. In your editor, open the Extensions menu, choose Install from VSIX and select the file. These are the same packages released on Marketplace. Download checksums to verify your download.

Tested in VSCodium on macOS, Windows and Linux, and in Theia on Linux. Features and installation options can vary between editors.

Accounts and privacy

Hollow Code uses online AI services through your Hollow account. Prompts and the code context you include are sent for processing. Review changes and command requests before approving them.

HollowScript does not need a Hollow account. Language analysis runs locally. The CLI preview is available for Apple Silicon macOS, Windows x64 and Linux x64.
