Lumen is the observability suite: log aggregation, metric tracking, synthetic browser testing and incident alerting, all in one place.
Point an HTTP or HTTPS monitor at a target URL and Lumen checks it automatically, on any interval from 1 to 60 minutes. For anything more involved, build a synthetic browser test up to 20 steps long, using click, fill, wait_for and assert_text actions against DOM selectors, each with its own timeout threshold. The centralised log viewer filters by severity level (debug, info, warn, error, fatal), by service tag, or by a live keyword search, and time-series metrics track latency percentiles (p50, p95, p99), error rate counters and any custom metric points you send it.
When something breaks, alert rules keyed to error rates or uptime failures fire off to Slack, PagerDuty or a signed webhook. Public or internal status pages carry the rest: an incident banner when something is actively wrong, and a scheduled maintenance window when you already know it is coming.
